Effects of liquefed petroleum gas use in a turbocharged stratified injection engine using ethanol/gasoline as pilot fuel

The production of engines using turbocharged stratified injection technology has increased rapidly in recent years. In addition, the use liquefied petroleum gas, which is an environmental and economical fuel, increasing vehicles. While gas cannot be used before, kits have become applicable to these types with development technology. Turbocharged provide first ignition liquid fuel engines. Therefore, sprayed from injector then added on burn gas. Thus, unlike other systems, increase efficiency also provided. Alcohols (ethanol, methanol, butanol, etc.) biomass fuels are alternative characteristics. There many studies alcohols internal combustion What distinguishes this study that as a pilot engine. study, vehicle motor equipped prins system was used. For purpose, effects 5% (E5), 10% (E10), 20% (E20) ethanol addition engine power, torque exhaust emissions were investigated. experiments carried out by speed 500-5500 rpm chassis dynamometer. findings showed E10+liquefied there power torque. reduction all CO, CO2, HC emissions.
